Hey it's Tigerlily again! I hope and pray that Sue and Carolyn are doing great and continue being a blessing to children across this world. These mighty women of God are such an encouragement to me, I cannot say enough!
A few weeks ago I decided to begin to use Myspace in different ways. There is this search thing where you can search for people with similar interests. So I typed in "Christian/Jesus.." and up popped different profiles from different countries. There were some from Philippines, Africa, Asia, USA...etc. It was awesome!
I decided to make friends with some of these brothers and sisters across the world. I have been making contact with a few Christians that are doing God's ministry now. Specifically a girl named "Sheila Mae" in the philippines. She and her whole family are involved in the ministry and working as leaders in their church.
Also, I have made a brother in Christ named "Mike Omwaka" in Kenya, Africa. He is a worship leader, and has made a dance team to reach souls for Christ. He plans on travelling across the world to tell the youth about God. He is an encouragement to me. We have been talking a lot and he tells me that he received Jesus when he was 18 years old. He had a small radio by his bed, and would listen to Christian music; even before he was a Christian. He heard John Hughe over the radio, and accepted Christ. People came and prayed over him while he was in bed. I really appreciate our friendship and decided to check out his country. What I saw was not good! On youtube, they have news video clips of Kenya, and there is a lot of violence because of elections. Also many women and children are living on the streets and being abused. Whether it's physically or sexually, all of it is happening there and is so wrong. IT bugs me! I want to do something about it~!
Mike says all we can do is pray. But there is power in prayer right~! :D God cares about Africa and He cares about these children being abused. Please keep them in your prayers~! Pray also for Mike to be healed, receive provision for his ministry, and also for him to receive the Holy Spirit~! He has been praying for this and wants to use it to glorify God and benefit his ministry!
